WORK HEALTH and SAFETY

Workplace Health & Safety
  • Deliver and assess up to Certificate IV WHS qualifications and units of competency. Delivery methods include classroom environment, workplace visits, and correspondence. Recognised Prior Learning and Recognised Current Competency applications by students. RPL/RCC is available in accordance to the AQF Pathways policy. Contact SSS and request our RPL/RCC kit that contains everything you need to know about your RPL Application. All RPL applications received by SSS will be assessed with the 4 Principles of Assessment; Fairness, Flexibility, Validity and Reliability.
  • Workplace Hazard Inspections
  • Workplace Audits including review of existing Work Health Management System as per AS 4801 (AS/NZS 4801:2001 is used as the benchmark to assess Work Health & Safety Management systems for organisations. Whilst this is an Australian/New Zealand Standard, organisations in other countries have adopted the requirements).
  • Health and Safety Representative training: 5 day course for recently appointed staff as a HSR / 1 day refreshers for all HSR’s every 12 months from date of appointment. Both courses are mandatory for medium to large businesses and medium to large organisations that have a WHS committee. Small businesses who don’t have a formal WHS committee can also participate in the HSR course. Small business owners, supervisor(s) and nominated senior administration person(s) make ideal participants.
  • Development of Safe Work Method Statements, Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

SSS takes care of the mandatory WHS processes and procedures required for your business or organisation to ensure rigid compliance to the WHS Act and Regulations of your jurisdiction.
